I recently bought a pole and a hoop from them. I have to say that I am impressed with their service. I was served by Angela. She always answered my queries and replied my emails promptly like within 1-3hours. I think that made any customers feel valued.
I had complications with Fedex and Indonesian Custom when the goods arrived. Angela was always helpful in providing me with any documents I needed to assist with the release. She would check in and asked if I have received the pole finally. I felt like she really cared for the customer and did not just "wash hand" after receiving payment.
This was my third time buying from X-pole. I bought my first pole in 2009, it was a 45mm X-Pert X-Pole in Titanium Gold. I was very happy with the quality of the pole - it was so good that I did not even bother to try other brands. I purchased from them again when I first did my own privates in a small studio I rented. Then I purchased few more when I moved to a bigger studio.
The new pole that I purchased is a 40mm chrome X-pole Built-a-pole. The difference with the usual X-Pert X-Pole is that Built-a-pole is a competition pole. It is stronger, more steady and safer because it is double layered. It's height is customised to your ceiling height so you have to pre-measure properly. You only have 7cm room for adjustment up or down. Not to worry if you need to sell it one day (like when I closed my studio). The new owner can just purchase the extension that suits her ceiling heights as the rest of the components are usable.
If you are in Indonesia and wonder how to import a pole or a hoop, you might want to check this post. I wrote in great details my difficulties with Indonesian Custom (so that you can be more prepared or even avoid the hassles). What shipping companies to use also matter. Save yourself some time; read up and get well-informed!
